The importance of giving away soccer balls

Today we worked to fulfill one of our initiatives to distribute youth soccer balls to aspiring athletes in our community. These soccer balls represent more than just equipment; they symbolize the dreams and aspirations of children who deserve the chance to play, learn, and grow through sports.

By giving away soccer balls, we're not just providing a tool for play; we're fostering a sense of belonging, promoting physical health, and nurturing the next generation of leaders and champions. But our work doesn't stop here; it's about leveling the playing field for all youth, regardless of their socioeconomic status or background. It's about creating a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive, both on and off the field.

As we distribute these soccer balls today, we are reminded of the impact that a simple act of kindness can have. We hope we can continue to champion equality, inclusion, and opportunity in every aspect of our work.

Holiday soccer camp 2024

We had another fun-filled day at Fresno Indoor Soccer for our annual free soccer camp. We are thankful to Calviva and FUSD for sponsoring the Health Matters free snack bar and making this camp possible. We also want to express appreciation to the generosity of Fresno Indoor Soccer for allowing us to use their beautifully remodeled space.

2021 Holiday Soccer Camp

Our annual Holiday Soccer Camp was located at Fresno Indoor Soccer, and featured our free all-you-can-eat Health Matters snack bar. Big thanks to our event sponsors, Calviva Health Cares and Fresno Unified School District.

Holiday Soccer Clinic

We wrapped up the year with our Holiday Soccer Clinic on Monday 12/23/19. The day began with a one hour training session, then the kids were divided into 3 groups based on age. For the next 2 hours, they rotated through 3 stations: (1) scrimmages, (2) a snack break with an all-you-can-eat healthy snack bar, and (3) a video training session where a coach showed the kids some great soccer goals and blunders in the conference room. We even spent a moment allowing the kids to write a message on our "confessions of a youth soccer player" banner. While most of the kids said their favorite part was the scrimmages, I personally loved reading all the messages they left on our banner.
